Project Inspiration
Modern luxury interior design increasingly incorporates contemporary chandelier lighting as a defining feature. The ease of customization ensures that each lighting piece, meticulously crafted by skilled artisans, offers endless possibilities.
These long chandeliers not only serve as functional lighting but also as striking sculptural art, providing clients with a canvas to infuse their unique personality. From vibrant colors and intriguing textures to unconventional materials, modern lighting design encourages limitless exploration.
In our latest blog, we delve into long chandeliers from Gabriel Scott’s collection, highlighting the projects where they have recently been showcased.
The Welles Glass Chandelier
The Welles Glass Chandelier stands as Gabriel Scott's most iconic modular lighting fixture, retaining its position as our best-selling piece. The Welles Series boasts a versatile range of options, available in steel, glass, and textured glass, complemented by our signature metal finishes—satin brass, satin bronze, satin copper, satin nickel, and black steel. Furthermore, the Welles has evolved through collaboration with six international designers and architects, resulting in the Welles Reimagined collection.
Interior designer Elizabeth Strianese recently incorporated a custom Welles Glass long chandelier into her latest project in New York. Selected for its "cloud-like" and ethereal aesthetic, the Welles enhanced the conversion of a turn-of-the-century factory, transforming it from a cold industrial setting into a family-friendly space for an expat artist and her visiting family.
In Connecticut, interior designer Claudia Allegra chose a Welles Reimagined chandelier by Michelle Gerson for her latest project. The chandelier, featuring hand-cut brass leaves falling around the light, adds a modern yet organic touch to the colonial-style home renovation, alongside original millwork and lime-washed walls.
The Luna Glass chandelier
The Luna Glass Chandelier epitomizes our philosophy of customization, offering flexibility in size, shape, glass color, and texture. This meticulously handcrafted piece is highly sought-after for its variety of beads and color options, allowing clients to adapt their lighting to different seasons or moods.
Pulp Interior Design Studio incorporated a Luna 2-Tier long chandelier into their latest residential project in Dallas, Texas. Balancing modern design with farmhouse chic elements, the Luna chandelier's linear design complements the architectural features, while its vintage-inspired glass discs and bubbles add a touch of sophistication.
Paris-based interior designer Séverine Halbrey-Benoist of SHB Architecture & Design has primarily focused her talents on private residences along with numerous collaborative projects. SHB's most recent endeavor involved revitalizing a charming 1930s mansion in Boulogne that, despite its appeal, lacked a cohesive theme to fully showcase its character. To address this, the architectural details were meticulously restored, the layout of the spacious living room reconfigured, and exquisite art pieces strategically placed. Central to the design is the Gabriel Scott Luna Chandelier 1 Tier, featuring glass beads in blue, California pink, and clear hues, which hangs elegantly above the dining table, seamlessly enhancing the selected artwork and accessories.
The Luna Kaleido Glass Chandelier
The Luna Kaleido glass chandelier is a modular, customizable light fixture composed of stackable glass "beads." These mouth-blown glass elements can be arranged in any sequence, enabling you to create a unique, radiant piece of decor that resembles fine jewelry for your home.
The fixture is available in six designs named after constellations—Dorado, Lyra, Aras, Cygnus, Orion, and Carina. Drawing inspiration from the kaleidoscope—named from the Greek words for "beautiful" (kalos), "form" (eidos), and "to look at" (skopeo)—this collection is designed to endlessly vary in tone, shape, and the way light is refracted. When put together, these pieces form a captivating glass mosaic that displays a variety of tones and patterns.
Each color and texture modifies the light uniquely, producing magical optical illusions. The color range includes soft iridescent pinks and blues blended with clear glass, creating a refined color spectrum. Additionally, customers can select from six unique surface textures: Smoothed, Gridded, Twisted, Bubbled, Ribbed, and Dotted, further customizing the appearance of their chandelier.
Gabriel Scott’s Luna Kaleido 1 Tier Chandelier with a Dorado glass bead features within luxury property developer Northacre’s The Broadway penthouse apartment, the latest project designed by Minotti London. The renowned, timeless design is showcased splendidly across the 4,672 sq ft penthouse, where neutral tones capitalize on the natural light of the space.
Situated on the historical site of the Metropolitan Police Headquarters and originally Westminster Abbey's Orchard, The Broadway draws inspiration from the Art Deco attributes of its neighboring Grade I listed building, 55 Broadway. This iconic structure, once the tallest building in London upon its completion in 1929, influences the development's aesthetic. Northacre and its architectural partner, Squire and Partners, have drawn on the elegantly structured motifs of 1920’s jewelry and their modern interpretations to guide the creative direction of the project. The luxury retail's shapes and structures have inspired the interior concepts of The Broadway. Moreover, the buildings themselves have been named after three of the world's most esteemed diamonds: The Sancy, The Paragon, and The Cullinan.
The Myriad Long Chandelier
Drawing inspiration from the raw beauty of nature, the Myriad Chandelier seamlessly merges sleek, angular arms with gentle, luminous radiance, evoking a sense of the untamed wilderness. Available in a range of finishes including black steel, satin brass, nickel, copper, or bronze, this long chandelier takes its cues from the enchanting glow of bioluminescence. Crafted as a sculptural masterpiece, it bathes the surroundings in a soft, inviting glow, with double-blown glass elements delicately pivoting atop a modular, asymmetric framework.
TK Design recently selected the Myriad Long Chandelier for their latest project in Scarsdale, USA, as part of a dining room renovation. Acting as both a striking focal point and an anchor for the space, the Myriad was chosen to infuse a contemporary flair into the room, while maintaining its essential functionality.
